The only place I know that will weigh non ferrous metals like copper lead and brass and give you a cheque to the name on your ID for the value . I was really surprised as got £85 for a box of mixed metals I found in my garage !
Excellent service- highly recommend these guys if you are looking to get rid of your car today. I had 2 other quotes to buy ny car but this one was the best. I couldnt find my logbook and one of the other companies said they would still take it but deduct £25 from my quote. Scrap maniacs collected my car and did not take anything off for the missing logbook. I was surprised the whole process took under 10 minutes when they came with their truck.
They were really helpful on the phone, telling me the procedure for collecting and scrapping our car and telling us exactly what they would pay for it. They booked a date only a few days in advance, the driver rang before coming, as promised, and arrived absolutely on time. The driver was very pleasant, helpful and efficient. Money arrived in my bank account the next day, as promised.

Called a week and a half in advance to book a car to be scrapped. On the day my calls were dodged, texts ignored and eventually I was told it would be picked up by the end of the day and then nothing. Left me high and dry and trying to find another firm to take it. V v unprofessional. Definitely would not recommend. Redcorn seem much more profession so far.
Best price I could find in North London. The nearest offer was over £2 per gram lower than what How Cash For Gold are offering Staff were friendly. The guy there even cleaned up a chain I was having tested. All in all a level of service I was not expecting from how the building looks from the outside. Thoroughly recommend.
